Corsley show Smash,Bash Piano Smash.

Get a team of up to six of your maddest mates together to completely smash up a piano into small enough bits to feed it through a letterbox! The first team to finish wins a barrel of beer kindly donated by Milk Street Brewery (or the equivalent if beer’s not your tipple!) and the most hideous Cup ever. Sounds bonkers? Ohh yes!

To join in the mayhem, register your team by emailing and prepare to entertain the hordes of visitors - do it in fancy dress, do it in style, do it however you like (no birthday suits please..!)

Star attraction!

Our fantastic main arena act at the Corsley Show this year will be Jonathan Marshall with his flying falcons and dancing horses.

Visit Jonathan Marshall with his flying falcons and dancing horses on his web site.

Jonathan has earned his reputation as one of the world’s leading display falconers over the last 30 years. He has shown his falcons at some of the largest outdoor events in the UK and has worked on many film and television projects which have featured his unique work; including hang gliding with golden eagles and skydiving with peregrine falcons.

Not content with just flying birds of prey, Jonathan introduced dancing Spanish horses into his display and trained both birds and horses to work together. The carefully choreographed duel is performed to beautiful music and takes on a balletic flavour. Costume and showmanship make this a display like no other – Jonathan's display appeared on BBC1’s Countryfile and also featured on their ‘Best of...‘ edition.

Win an awesome horse and falconry experience with Jonathan Marshall!

Corsley Show supporters have the chance of winning a Jonathan Marshall Horseback Falconry Experience voucher, riding in Devon through beautiful wooded valleys on magnificent white horses and flying hawks to your glove.

Jonathan’s trained falcons revel in the skies over Devon, on the Jurassic Coast, every day. Stunning sea cliffs offer breathtaking views where wild peregrine falcons live and thrive. Jonathan says “You can see them express pure joy as they fly free. No words can adequately describe this experience – it is utterly beautiful and unforgettable”. The winner of this year’s Corsley Show Raffle will get the opportunity to experience this, first hand, with Jonathan, and be part of something very special.

The experience is offered on Jonathan’s website for £150, but you could win a gift voucher for one person (over the age of 16) by buying a raffle ticket at the Show for just £1. Tickets for this draw are only available on Show Day and we'll draw the winning ticket after Jonathan's final performance.

Get Involved!

Fancy manning the gate for an hour? Marshalling vehicles in the car park? Want to help put the Show up – or even take it down? Putting on the Show involves an awful lot of people and there’s always lots to do in the run-up, so don’t be shy – get in contact, we’d love to hear from you!

About the show

Over 100 years ago, on the 25th August 1909 some enterprising gents from Corsley held a meeting to organise a fête and sports day which they agreed would be held on 11th September 1909. Amongst the attractions were a three-mile race, a football tournament, a cricket match, greasy pole and pillow fight.

This year, the Corsley Show Committee are proud to hold the 98th Show (the event wasn’t held during both World Wars). The attractions are a bit different, but we still retain the village fête appeal of yesteryear.

Our aim is to entertain you with a fun-filled day out for all the family. Who grew the biggest marrow, the most beautiful dahlia? Who won the kids’ egg-and-spoon race, mums and dads can join in the tug o’war against the kids too! Did Corsley thrash Warminster in the Roll, Dash and Bash? Who won the Dressage competition? Bring along your pampered pooch – the Dog Show caters for pedigrees, allsorts and there’s even a class for ‘Best Six Legs’ (that’s you and your dog – it’s not a freak show!). Fancy a go at winning a barrel of beer? Get a team of six together for the Wadworth Championship Tug o’ War. All sounding a bit too energetic? No problem, there’s the beer tent where you can listen to the band, the Tea Tent to while away the afternoon stuffing your face with a cream tea, or just wander round browsing (and buying!) some fabulous local produce and crafts to take home.

We hope you enjoy our lovely Show!

The Show expresses its gratitude to the Warminster Area Board for its grants to assist in the purchase of marquees and other Showfield amenities.
