What's happening on Show Day?

We'll publish the day's programme here just as soon as we've finalised everything!

About the show

Over 100 years ago, on the 25th August 1909 some enterprising gents from Corsley held a meeting to organise a fête and sports day which they agreed would be held on 11th September 1909. Amongst the attractions were a three-mile race, a football tournament, a cricket match, greasy pole and pillow fight.

This year, the Corsley Show Committee are proud to hold the 100th Show (the event wasn't held during both World Wars). The attractions are a bit different, but we still retain the village fête appeal of yesteryear.
Our aim is to entertain you with a fun-filled day out for all the family. Who grew the biggest marrow? The most beautiful dahlia? Who won the kids’ egg-and-spoon race? Mums and dads can join in the tug o’war against the kids too! Who won the Dressage competition? Bring along your pampered pooch – the Dog Show caters for pedigrees, all sorts and there’s even a class for ‘Best Six Legs’ (that’s you and your dog – it’s not a freak show!). We'll have the usual Tug O' War – so get your teams sorted out to win beer vouchers! All sounding a bit too energetic? No problem, there’s the beer tent where you can relax with your favourite tipple whilst the band entertain you, or visit the Tea Tent where you can while away the afternoon stuffing your face with a cream tea. Feel free to wander round browsing (and buying!) some fabulous local produce and crafts to take home. Kids can enjoy tractor-drawn trailer rides and some great funfair activities!

We hope you enjoy our lovely Show!

Advertise in the Schedule

Get your business in our 100th Show Schedule!

Corsley Show 2017 was a roaring success with wonderful weather, a huge array of stalls and activities, a really good attendance and lots of compliments from the punters! This year’s Show is our 100th and we’re initially offering the opportunity to advertise in the Schedule to those who supported us last year. We appreciate that it’s a bit early for you to be thinking about the next Show but we want our loyal and valued advertisers to have first dibs before we offer any untaken spaces to other potential advertisers. We have increased the fee a teensy bit - a half page ad is £50 and a full page ad is £90.

If you'd like your business advertised in the Schedule, please do email our to express your interest. Please don't send artwork or payment until we have responded to your request.

If you wish to supply print-ready artwork, please contact Janice, our . If you cannot provide us with print-ready artwork, we would be happy to prepare your artwork for you for a small fee. Please do contact Janice if you wish to make use of this service.
